In Africa “energy saving” takes on a meaning which is far away from the concepts we are used to in the Western world: it can mean making kitchens more efficient, that is less work for women to get the wood; or facilitating water purification; or even reducing the burden of agricultural activities … all this using simple eco-technologies at low cost.
