73-ultima-missione-1Plane, you don’t scare me!!!

The day after tomorrow sees our return to Mozambique! We are at the last stage of the Il Teatro Fa Bene (Theatre is good for you) project, we will have the final rehearsals of the performance, adding the last modifications, and then we will tour the villages and Palma.

5 presentations in Swahili with scenery, informative health cards, costumes, props, everything…everything, it’s been my nightmare over these last weeks: do I have everything? Did I send everything? Is everything ready?

The two trunks with scenery and the structure for supporting it have arrived at Maputo but have been detained by customs, so they’ll probably remain there until we arrive in Mozambique.

Will I be able to recover all the material in time?

I don’t even want to think about it!

Tomorrow morning I’ll catch the train to Milan, I have to pick up the microphones and the audio equipment, yes, because in the end it’s official, the group, the actors, will recite with microphones and speakers, this is because we, in our wildest dreams, imagined hundreds of people in the audience, thousands…

I don’t want to think about it!

I’m happy though, happy to see the group, to work with them again, we’ll all be put to the test, it’ll be hard but nice.

I hope so, but I don’t want to think about it!

Hundreds of things can go wrong, starting from the possibility that I’ve forgotten something.

When you pack bags for a long journey to a distant country, the last 24 hours are like this: underwear, passport, T-shirts, passport, socks, passport, trousers, passport. You check where your passport is a hundred times.

You can forget your underwear, but you can never forget your passport.
