Second Mission in Mozambique, arrival at Pemba

Yes, yes, we are in Pemba, in Mozambique again! Doing this and that a few weeks have passed since the last installment of the diary and only now do I realize it… I am back in Africa !!!
And I feel perfectly at ease.
Not even the trip was too hard, another 26 hours of travel by train, plane and waiting, but time flew this time, literally!
I haven’t eaten that omelet with stewed vegetables for breakfast. Maybe that’s why I feel so good!
Departure from Milan, the same route as the last time, we have only changed the final destination in Mozambique.
We’re back to Pemba, accompanied by Dr. Giulio again, tomorrow Felix of Luarte is going to join the group, too, he is coming directly from Maputo with a domestic flight.
Oh, I haven’t told you about my travel companions: I have with me Bruno and Iacopo, Paolo, director of photography, Daniele sound engineer and Johara for the translations. Like in the first mission each stage will be video recorded to make the clips and the concluding film of the project.
Bruno will be responsible for public relations, I and Felix of the “theater” and the selection of the actors for Italy. At the end of the mission I must have names and ideas to work on for the text: Yes, yes, the text of our show!
We prepare with Giulio the detailed agenda of the following days: tomorrow morning meeting with Vitor Raposo, we are going to see two short performances of his company.
Then departure for Palma, where two days of performances are awaiting us; and then in the villages of Pundanhar and Quionga again. Two days to see the previously selected actors again and then departure for Maputo.
“Like the casting for X-Factor” is the joke of the day.
* * *
That’s all for now, I want to go for a walk, “to feel” the landscape, the wind, the palm trees. If I look out the window there are no more hills.
Palms, sea, baobab …
Let me go and see where I am …
