World bank, 50 million for instruction in Mozambique
The World Bank has approved financing for 50 million dollars to be used for teaching in Mozambique according to a communication issued by the Washington institute.
The amount will be added to the 57 million dollars supplied for the same proposal by the Global Partnership for Education (PGE) to guarantee the availability and quality of education in the country.
Mozambique, explained Alice Albright, executive manager of PGE, is the first country to receive this financing from the new teaching Fund, which is based in Washington and is supported by the main international organisations. Mozambique is number 172 in the UN’s list of least developed countries, which reaches a total of 177 (AGI).
